What a room costs

The first person in a room pays 35.00 € net per night. Anyone sharing that room pays 30.00 € net. On top of that comes 7 % German VAT. There is no cleaning fee, no booking commission and no charge for bed linen – it is provided. The shortest stay we take is 3 nights. Two people sharing therefore pay 65.00 € net a night, three people 95.00 €.

Arriving late is fine

Check-in from 12:00, check-out by 11:00. If your shift runs long or you are stuck in traffic, take your key from the box at the entrance. You get the code before you set off. There is no reception desk to wait for.

Park your van at the house

There are parking spaces at the building, including space for vans. Your tools stay where you sleep. Tell us what you are driving when you enquire and we will plan for it.

Cook for yourself

Every one of the 3 floors has its own shared kitchen with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. There is no breakfast and no restaurant – this is self-catering accommodation, and for a stay of several weeks that is what saves you money. A washing machine is available for a fee.

Longer jobs

If the job lasts more than 4 weeks, a discount of up to 25 % is possible, depending on length and occupancy. From around 28 nights we stop charging a daily rate and quote for the whole period instead.

The house

Kolpingstraße 112, 47166 Duisburg-Hamborn. Hamborn is in the north of Duisburg. If you are working in the northern part of the city, you are not driving across it twice a day. The building has 22 rooms on 3 floors with 26 beds in total; a shared bathroom with shower on each floor, and a few of the single rooms have their own. About half the rooms are let long term, so this is a normal residential house, not a party address.

Registration form on arrival

Guests who are not German citizens must fill in and sign a registration form on the day of arrival and show a passport or ID card. Please bring it with you – without it the overnight stay cannot go ahead. German citizens no longer need one.

What does one night cost?

35.00 € net for the first person in the room and 30.00 € net for each further person in the same room, plus 7 % VAT.

No. No final cleaning charge, no commission, and bed linen is included.

At least 3. There is no upper limit – many guests stay for weeks or months.

I will arrive late at night. Can I still get in?
